Welcome to the Theosophical Society in Tasmania!
The Theosophical Society has two centres in Tasmania which are branches of the international organization, formed in New York in 1875, dedicated to the promotion of brotherhood and to the encouragement of the study of religion, philosophy, and science, so that we may better understand ourselves and our place in the universe. (The Theosophical World-View) The world headquarters is at Adyar, Madras, India. The Theosophical Society is spread throughout Australia, having a presence in all States.

Complete freedom of thought is basic to the Society's attitude.
Within the vast body of ideas - known as theosophy (Divine Wisdom) - no dogma, creed, or specific belief is imposed.
Approval of its three objects is the sole condition that unites members
